Through The Years

1946

David's Gloves is founded in Springfield, Ohio, and distributes gloves to the industrial market.

1963

The company is renamed Plasco and broadens its product lines to include all safety products.

2004

Plasco is renamed Benchmark under new ownership and further diversifies its product lines and service offerings, including specialty packaging and janitorial supplies.

2018

Benchmark is acquired by an investor group with decades of business and packaging experience. The headquarters and warehouse are moved to Columbus, OH, and a fleet of trucks is invested in to fulfill the company's next-day guarantee.

2021

Benchmark enters into a joint venture with Toronto-based Keypak to extend its reach into Canada and acquires Donby Shippers Supply to expand its catalog offerings.

2022

Benchmark expands its next-day delivery area to cover all of Ohio and Eastern Indiana and increases its warehouse space, achieving a combined global footprint of nearly 400,000 sq ft.

2023

Benchmark acquires Springfield Paper Specialties and Laurico, along with new office and warehouse space in Philadelphia, PA, to expand East Coast distribution.

2024

Benchmark opens a new warehouse in Philadelphia, PA, for larger in-stock product range and delivery area. Expands its national service and presence by stocking warehouses and adding local representatives across the USA.
